Basic Rules

Blackjack(Pontoon) is one of the most played card games in the online casino and is also one of the simplest games to learn.
Blckjack is played between the dealer & the player and whoever comes nearest to a card value total of 21 without going over is the winner. All numbered cards are worth their numeric value whatever the suit. The picture cards (Jack, Queen and King) are worth ten points and Aces are worth either eleven or one point. Whichever value puts the card total closest to 21. For example in a hand with an Ace, ten and five, the Ace would be worth one point since 10 + 6 + 11 goes over twenty-one. Therefore, the Ace would have to be played as a one, and the hand would be worth sixteen (10 + 6 + 1 = 17).

Winning Strategy:

To get the advantage and to start winning some serious money, use the easy to follow table to the left.

For example: If the dealer has a 8 and you two dealt cards = 12 then using the table you would Hit

Example 2: If the dealers value is 6 and you have a pair of 7's (7,7) then you would Split.
Remember it is essential that you stick to these guidelines when playing and play with small level bets.

Doubling Down
The player is allowed the option of doubling the bet once the first two cards have been dealt. You are permitted to draw only one additional card. Always take advantage of double down situations as outlined in the chart. Should you have a total of eleven after the first two cards are dealt, the most likely card to be dealt to you next will be a ten-value card. This gives you an unbeatable hand of twenty-one. The odds are in your favour so it makes sense to double your bet.

Splitting Pairs
If you are dealt a pair you have the option of splitting the pair and playing two hands, effectively doubling your stake. Check the charts to see when it is advantageous. For example splitting on a pair of eights or Aces gives you a better chance of beating the dealer.

Dealer
How the dealer plays is strictly dictated. The dealer must continue to take cards until they reach seventeen or more. Also, once the dealer has reached seventeen or more they must stop, regardless of the hand that you, the player, are holding
